The Timber Rack is our wood shop, our retail space, our self-service customer facility.

It’s not the stockshed with it’s blue racked aisles piled high. Nor is it the woodyard, stacked with boule upon boule and beam upon beam. But it’s got something.

It’s got browse-ability. It’s got take-away-ness. It’s got shop ’til you drop and impulse-buy-it-now written all over it. We cherish it for it’s element of surprise and delicious unpredictability. Just like life – or a box of chocolates – you never know what you’re gonna get.

The Timber Rack is now open from 10am until 4pm, every Monday to Friday.

It’s ‘person-ed’ by Ben who will help with advice and information if needed, but otherwise you’re left to wander, ponder and shop in peace.

We’re currently operating The Timber Rack with Covid safe precautions for your protection – see below – and for ours.

Part of these precautions is the restriction of visitors to the rack area i.e. it’s not possible to visit our sheds for timber selection yet, unless by appointment.

We hope these precautions give you the confidence that you can come and select and buy timber to work with, to make with and to build with.

We’ll do our best to keep it topped up with useful and interesting timber.
